Lexi grew up riding in the back of a pink cadillac watching her Mom, a Mary Kay Cosmetics National Sales Director, “empower women everyday.” Lexi’s close ties to her Mom’s Mary Kay friends and family has given her great opportunities to travel all over the country to perform in front of thousands of strong women at their meetings and events. It has now allowed her this opportunity to use her Mom’s trademark Pink Cadillac for some of her radio tour stops while she takes her own empowering message and single “You Can Leave” with her.
“If I can empower someone through my music I feel like I am following in my Mom’s footsteps and doing good,” says Lexi.
Along with Lexi’s love of country music and stellar vocal chords—she also shows off her songwriting prowess on her album Good Memories with songs like Something About A Sunday and her new single, “You Can Leave.” Good Memories pairs her with some of Nashville’s greatest musicians to create a sound that is highly addicting and uniquely Lexi.
Lexi funded her album Good Memories through Kickstarter with the help of her fervent fan base. The fans spoke up and showed their confidence in her and love for her music and before the 30 day time period was up, she had collected a veritable mountain of donations to make the album she’d dreamed of. Good Memories is available now on iTunes.
Born and raised in corn country Nebraska, Lexi Larsen is a soulful sounding small-town girl with big city appeal. From the Galaxy of Stars Search to the regional Colgate Country Showdown, she’s been building a solid fan base across the country. In December, Lexi earned a coveted slot to sing the national anthem at the National Finals Rodeo.
The singer/songwriter has opened for Country Music Hall of Famer and music legend Ronnie Milsap, hitmaker Phil Vassar, Warner Bros recording trio Gloriana as well as acts like Grammy-nominated Emerson Drive and most recently the award-winning Restless Heart.
Lexi has captivated crowds as far away as Xian, China with a combination of her unassuming charm and powerhouse voice. Lexi took her new sound on a recent summer tour that brought her from the wild motorcycle rally at Sturgis, South Dakota to a sold-out show in her hometown of Ogallala, Nebraska at the famous Haythorn Ranch. With her country cool, she’s at home anywhere and garnering lifelong fans with the work of a few notes.
Like her single says—you can leave, but you won’t want to.
