Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Toby Keith and The Band Perry Fuel Record Attendance

Brad Paisley Announced As First Headliner for Next Year’s Festival

Country music fans of all ages packed the 24th Annual Country Jam music festival this past weekend, June 18-21, at Jam Ranch outside Grand Junction, CO. This year’s attendance was approximately 80,000 over the four days, thanks to stellar performances from Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Toby Keith and The Band Perry, as well as Billy Currington, Kacey Musgraves, Eli Young Band, Thompson Square, Frankie Ballard, Parmalee, Colt Ford, LOCASH, Logan Mize, Randy Rogers Band, Western Underground and many others.

Brad Paisley was the first headliner announced for Country Jam 2016; announcing one of the next year’s headliners during the current festival has become one of Country Jam’s traditions to generate excitement for the ever-growing festival.

With the rich 24-year history that Country Jam enjoys, many of the artists that perform in Grand Junction have deep connections with the festival. Tim McGraw invited the audience to help him wish his wife, Faith Hill, a “happy anniversary,” since it was at Country Jam, in 1996, that he proposed to her. According to Taste of Country.com, McGraw left a recorded message for her from the stage.

Those who were impressed by performer Frankie Ballard at this year’s festival included fellow guitar maven Keith Urban, who was spotted hanging out on the side of the stage during Ballard’s set. Storme Warren, morning show host of Sirius XM’s The Highway who was onsite covering the Festival, “It says a lot about the Country Music community when you see artists display a genuine appreciation for each other. Watching Keith smile during Frankie’s set proved yet again Keith’s organic love of music and those who make it. Festivals like Country Jam provide the relaxed backstage environment where many artists connect, often for the first time. It’s obvious Frankie earned a new fan in Urban. The feeling is mutual. Frankie was later spotted standing side-stage watching Keith’s set.”

“Country Jam 2015 was our best yet, said Dhruv Prasad, Executive Vice President, Live Events, Townsquare Media Inc..  “With a killer lineup that included Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, and Toby Keith, the entertainment was outstanding all weekend.  In addition, our guests loved the improvements we made to the festival grounds, particularly our new air-conditioned VIP area, additional campsites, and more efficient entry process.  We look forward to delivering another great experience next year!”
